Borderlands: Gnar Kill the Devourer Debut by newti Borderlands: Gnar Kill the Devourer Debut by newti
'Gnar Kill the Devourer' was born into the world by the ungodly who wished to develop a weapon that would tame the most horrid of beings in the harsh wasteland.

A pulse rifle bred bred purely for disintegrating the enemy, the name strikes fear into any foe.

Current location of this legendary weapon is unknown but rumor has it that one Lilith the Siren tore it off a slain warlord in the barrens.

The story tells of the young Lilith being captured by a band of psychos.

Little did they know the psionic powers that lurked beneath her fair skin.

It was all over in a blur of pink clashing energies; warping and contorting all enemies to a bloody pulp.

In the end only one stood over a mound of what was once humans, and in her hand was Gnar Kill, glowing green with anger and the lust for more destruction and pain.

She walks into the sunset, awaiting the next folly foe that would strike at her life.

----

So i hope you guys like my back story and also most important the weapons!

The front 2 are Nerf Scout and Maverick; had to pull it all apart and spray and paint and weather individually all the parts with Bronze Paint (so much fun!)

The main attraction is Gnar Kill the Devourer (AKA Nerf Nitron).

Black undercoat with my fave black paint and a 2 tone weather with silver and bronze paint.

For ONCE i have kept the nerf scope as this one is quite the cool!

I might add more props such as stickers and fuel tanks bbut for now enjoy! This is what dedication and focus can do (This only took 1 day)

Enjoy the guns people and if you want to ask any questions PLEASE feel free!

These guns are for an upcoming photoshoot with the delicious :icontarotea:

Watch me for more updates!

aaah so awesome. i know i commented before, but i didn't see this picture yet. i'm mainly wondering how you made them look rather "weathered" and how your painting process went, as well as the application.. was it airbrush? i don't even know where to begin! everything about these guns looks entirely wonderful!
but i'd be eternally grateful if you'd assist me. ;n;

HEy! Im flattered! More than happy to let you know how i did it.

Firstly i got black matte spray and coated the entire gun twice // thrice. You dont want it layers too many times as you lose details.

Then i get the metallic paint and dab the brush in. Then get paper or cardboard and brush the paint out till there is a tiny bit left.

Proceed to brush the contours of the gun!

Anddddd thats really about it!

Theres only a few things that i spray painted to get that solid look.

The pistol with the long clip was sanded and destroyed with a grinder // sanding disk to create wounds on the gun which turns out nicely when dry brushed!
